Today we are experiencing a huge explosion of telecommunication, especially in wireless / mobile and broadband communications, as well as in digital media content generation and distribution / delivery. It all started about 35 years ago, with a computer network that connected various universities, called Arpanet.
During this 35 years, we experienced that Arpanet turned into Internet, large computer mushroomed into PCs and Macs, telephones transformed into mobile handsets, dial-ups replaced with Megabit pipes of broadband, content all become digital, delivered to multiple screens and the digital divide around the globe started to disappear.
Despite the very exciting and opportunity-rich time during the past years, the future of TMT sector is much brighter than ever. We are projecting almost everybody around the world to have a mobile phone, where mobile phones are performing wide range of tasks that could not have been imagined a few years ago; a single smartphone having more capacity and processing power than the entire Arpanet computers, three decades ago; communities in Africa performing mobile banking transactions ; mobile social networking reducing the globe into a village, and any content one desires to be delivered to any time of screen in front of the users. Not just humans but all entities or “things” forming Internet clouds, drastically transforming people’s lives, from home to work, commuting / transporting, healthcare, finance, energy and commerce.
We have been in the center of this exciting journey, worked in different capacities & roles, but always at the leading and sometimes bleeding edge of the technological revolution. This website tells you the road we traveled, the experiences we gained, but more importantly, what our vision is for the future and what we can do helping others in our industry.
